Some time ago, I had the idea to create an image of a Barn Owl on the stone wall of the church in our tiny Welsh Village. The church is 500 years old and we love to go to the service there on Christmas Eve when the hall is festooned with greenery and listen to the carols and readings in both Welsh and English. I personally love to watch people draw and paint…I don’t know whether it’s growing up with Tony Hart on the TV but I find it relaxing and inspiring. Realistic art has always felt like magic to me. Being able to create the illusion of form and conjure something out of thin air, like pulling a rabbit from a hat. I hope you enjoy this less than 3 minute Art Snack as much as I enjoyed the hours creating it.
